Vacuum Valves Types
GATE VALVES
They have two parallel vacuum flanges with a “gate” that rises when the valve opens. This valve is frequently used between chambers as it allows samples to pass through the valve.

HVA HARSH PROCESS
Offers extreme durability for the most demanding process applications. The robust dual containment design leads to increased safety. Sealed bellows are isolated from process meaning no maintenance. There is also easy in-situ cleaning and o-ring replacement. Improved pump performance is achieved by pump overload protection/isolation and there are lower particles due to the integrated soft pump feature.
ALUMINIUM
Has precision machined high strength aluminium body from solid 6061-T6 billet. This eliminates pinholes and virtual leaks that can appear from cast/welded aluminium valves. Dual quad ring long life shaft seals give improved system up-time to 400,000 cycles and improved leak integrity. High performance PEEK components reduce friction and lower particle levels. With this valve there is lower cost and hydrogen outgassing than an equivalent sized stainless steel valve.
LETTER BOX VALVES
Is engineered to meet the mechanical interface and vacuum containment requirements of the industry.
They are quiet and reliable. They seal with lower pressure and so last longer and there is less stress to make a perfect seal.
HVA 88200 series aluminium transfer
Offers one of the smallest interior surface areas in the vacuum valve industry. In the open position, the seal plate o-ring is completely out of sight preventing any particulate or media flow to accumulate on the sealing surface. In the closed position, the one piece solid block design prevents any material build-up on the back side of the valve mechanism, dramatically reducing service and maintenance requirements.
HIGH VACUUM AND UHV ANGLE VALVES
Right angle valves sealed by elastomer joints: They are suitable for high vacuum and UHV applications that do not require heating above 150 ° C and that open and close frequently.
Right angle valves sealed by metal joints: They are suitable for UHV applications that require the smallest possible leak rate.
Angle valves
HVA’s 4000 series Viton® sealed right angle valves are suitable for use in high vacuum systems and in less demanding positions in UHV systems. The seal is made with a Viton® O ring which is best for valves that must be opened and closed frequently. We can offer valves with the following features:
